Complex Numbers Overhaul

2021 Fall Update

Hello and welcome to Wumbo's fall progress update.

This fall, in addition to minor changes, I overhauled the complex numbers page on the site to be more complete. The article has a bunch of new examples and aims to explain why the complex number system so elegantly describes trigonometry.

This winter I plan to upgrade a series of examples that derive the trigonometric identities using strategies that correspond to different levels of trigonometry. For example, this page is finished and derives the sum of two angles identities using the geometry of the unit circle.
